How we collect, use and protect your data.
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mizwaj collects, uses, shares and protects information when you access or use our Service. Mizwaj is a marriage-focused platform, and the information you share here is personal by nature. We treat it that way.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.
1. Information You Provide
You provide information directly when you register and use the Service. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Account details such as your name or username, email address, password and phone number.
- Profile information such as age, gender, marital status, location, language, education, occupation, religious practice and the preferences you set for a prospective spouse.
- Photographs, videos, voice notes and any other media you choose to upload or record.
- Messages, voice notes, requests and other content you exchange with members through the Service, together with records of the voice and video calls you place through it.
- Information you submit when you contact support, report a member, or respond to a survey.
- Identity verification information, such as a photograph or document you provide to have your profile verified, and the outcome of that check.
You decide what to put in your profile. Please do not publish information you would not want another member to see.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, some information is collected automatically, which may include:
- Device and technical information such as device type, operating system, browser, language settings and identifiers.
- Log information such as IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed, and actions taken in the Service.
- Approximate location derived from your device or network, where you have permitted it or where it is needed to provide a location-based feature.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
- Product analytics information about how you use the Service — the screens you open, the actions you take such as sending a like or starting a conversation, the subscription or purchase you complete, and whether an action succeeded or failed. This is described in section 13.
3. Why We Use Your Information
Mizwaj uses information for purposes including:
- Creating and managing your account.
- Operating, maintaining and improving the Service.
- Suggesting members who match the preferences you have set.
- Enabling communication between members.
- Providing customer support and responding to your requests.
- Detecting, investigating and preventing fraud, impersonation, abuse, spam and other prohibited conduct.
- Protecting the safety of members and the security of our systems.
- Measuring performance and understanding how the Service is used.
- Meeting legal, regulatory and enforcement obligations.
4. What Other Members Can See
Your profile and the information in it may be visible to other members of the Service, subject to the privacy settings available to you.
Anything you send to another member should be treated as disclosed to that person. Mizwaj cannot control what another member does with information you choose to share with them, including screenshots, copies or forwarding.
Please exercise the same care you would when meeting someone through any other introduction, and avoid sharing financial details, identity documents or passwords with other members.
5. Sharing With Third Parties
Mizwaj does not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:
- Service providers who operate on our behalf, such as hosting, storage, delivery, analytics, payment, communications and security providers, and who are permitted to use it only to provide those services. Our product analytics provider is Amplitude, Inc.
- Law enforcement, regulators, courts or other authorities where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of Mizwaj, our members or the public.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a policy that is materially consistent with it.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and loss. These include access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keeping your password confidential is an important part of protecting your own account.
7. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as is necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
Some information may be retained in backups or in records required for security, fraud-prevention or legal purposes after your account is closed.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. These may include the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your account and the information associated with it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
- Receive a copy of certain information in a portable format.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave, without affecting processing already carried out.
You can edit much of your information directly in your profile settings, and you can close your account at any time. To make a request about your rights, email contact@rinly.com.
You can withdraw your consent to product analytics at any time by clearing this site's stored data in your browser, which removes the choice we saved and causes us to ask again. On your next visit, choose “Decline”. See section 13.
9. Children
The Service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts for anyone under 18 are not permitted under any circumstances. We ask for your date of birth at registration, and identity verification helps us enforce it. If we become aware that someone under 18 has created an account, we terminate the account and delete the associated information.
10. International Transfers
Mizwaj operates internationally, and information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one you live in. Where that happens, we take steps intended to ensure the information continues to be protected in a manner consistent with this Policy.
Product analytics information described in section 13 is processed by Amplitude, Inc. in the United States.
11. Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies are described separately in our Cookie Policy, which forms part of this Policy.
12. Advertising and Tracking
Some parts of the Service show advertising. To show and measure ads, we and our advertising partners use device identifiers such as Apple’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and Google’s Advertising ID, together with limited information about how you use the Service. Our partners may combine that with data they already hold from other apps and websites. This constitutes tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- On iOS we ask through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt first. If you decline, we do not use your advertising identifier for that purpose. You can change your answer under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- On Android you can delete or reset your advertising ID under Settings › Privacy › Ads.
- You can also email contact@rinly.com to ask us to stop sharing your identifiers with advertising partners.
We never use your private messages, voice notes, video calls, photographs or identity verification documents for advertising, and we do not share them with advertising partners.
13. Product Analytics and Session Replay
We use Amplitude, Inc. as our product analytics provider, to understand how the Service is used and where it fails. Amplitude processes this information on our behalf, under contract, and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes.
What is sent. Events recording the actions you take — for example opening a screen, sending a like, starting a conversation, placing a call, or completing a subscription — together with the page address in a generic form, your device type, operating system, browser, language, approximate country, app version, and a randomly generated device identifier. Once you sign in, your Mizwaj account number is attached, which is also how your activity on the website and in the mobile app is recognised as the same person. A small number of profile attributes are attached to help us group usage: your gender, your country and your interface language.
What is never sent. We do not send the content of your messages, voice notes or calls, your photographs or videos, your identity verification documents, your email address, your phone number, your name, your date of birth, or your precise location. Page addresses are reduced to a template before they leave your device, so a profile address becomes /profiles/[username] and a conversation becomes /messages/[id] rather than identifying who you were looking at or talking to. Page titles are removed, because they can contain another member's name.
Purchases. Where you complete a purchase or subscription, the amount, currency and the product you bought are sent so we can measure which plans members choose. Your card details are never sent to our analytics provider; payments are handled separately by our payment providers.
Session replay. Where enabled, a sample of sessions is recorded so we can see how a problem happened. A replay is a reconstruction of the page as your browser drew it, not a video or a recording of your camera, microphone or screen. Text is masked by default, and images, video, audio and canvas elements are blocked entirely, so photographs and message content do not appear in a replay. Recording happens in your browser's memory, and the great majority of sessions are discarded there and never uploaded; only a sampled minority, and sessions in which a significant error occurred, are sent to us.
Your choice. If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, we ask before any analytics information is collected, and nothing is collected or stored unless you choose “Accept”. If you choose “Decline”, the information gathered while we waited for your answer is discarded in your browser and never sent. Elsewhere, analytics runs without asking, and you may object at any time by emailing contact@rinly.com. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage; clearing this site's stored data clears it and we will ask again.
How long it is kept. Analytics information is retained by Amplitude on our behalf for as long as we need it to understand usage trends, and is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for that purpose. If you ask us to delete your account, you may also ask us to delete the analytics records associated with your account number by emailing contact@rinly.com.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, technology, or legal requirements. The updated version becomes effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
15. Contact
For questions about this Privacy Policy or about how your information is handled, email contact@rinly.com. Mizwaj is published by Rinly LLC.
